Alberto Barbusano Perez is a Cuban artist who sought artistic freedom and fled to the United States over a decade ago. He is an oil painter who employs traditional techniques, incorporating a metaphysical essence to portray landscapes reminiscent of his homeland and various natural settings. His work has been shown worldwide, with fellowships in Tokyo and Havana. Presently, he lives in Houston, Texas as an art fellow at Stephen F. Austin University as he pursues his  MFA in Studio Art.
